- A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE
- A wonderfully diverse city, metropolitan Birmingham offers homes to fit almost any lifestyle.
There’s a place for you in metropolitan Birmingham. The low key atmosphere of the area will leave you time to really enjoy
life. Birmingham is a big city with a small town feeling. Although it is one of the 60 largest metropolitan areas in the
country, Birmingham has not grown too large to enjoy. The drive from one end of town to another is not a half day long
excursion. While rush hour traffic is definitely noticeable, enough highway improvements have been made to allow a relative
ease of movement. That leaves plenty of time for those things which have disappeared from living in most major cities: time
for a business person to come home to have lunch, time to visit the restaurant on the other side of town even though rush
hour is not quite over and time to spend enjoying living in the area.
-
- DIVERSE ECONOMY
- The approximately 20,750 businesses which
call the area home have made Birmingham a center for finance, health care,
education, manufacturing, research, engineering,
transportation and distribution. Over the past few decades, Birmingham’s
business leaders have diversified the area’s economy, moving away from our
prior dependence on iron and steel production.
